File formats, preparation requirements, and design limitations for your laser cutting projects
Accepted File Formats
We currently accept DXF files for all orders.
In the near future, we'll also support:
.ai, .dwg, .eps, .stp, and .step
File Preparation
Before uploading, ensure your file passes our checks:
1. Wrong Design
The file must contain drawable entities—empty files cannot be processed.

2. Stay Within Size Limits
Maximum cut size is 1.2 m × 2 m. Oversized designs will be rejected.

3. No Crossing Segments
Remove overlapping or intersecting lines.

All paths must be closed to ensure accurate cutting.

4. No Orphan Shapes
Eliminate unused shapes otherwise they will be cut and sent to you as a part of the order.

Design Limitations
- Minimum feature size: 1 mm (may vary by material).
 - Minimum hole diameter: 1.5 × material thickness.
 
Tolerances
Our laser cutting machines operate with a +/- 0.1 mm tolerance.
For best results:
- Avoid fits tighter than this tolerance.
 - Account for kerf width, especially for interlocking parts.
